Stanley Sunday
Last Sunday, i woke up at 10am, thinking if we are really going to Stanley. (Actually Wing told me on friday we are going to, but somehow I am not very sure. I thought she is going to call on sat to confirm, but she didn't. So i was still in my warm and confortable bed till 10:30am, (I was supposed to meet with Wing, Christine and Carol at 11:00am) ... haha, turned out I was late as usual. :P Sorry girls.)
Haven't come to Stanley for....... um, no idea how long, I feel like the last time was in middle school or maybe longer. (wow, it's pretty long time.)
Anyway, Wing - the real local who knows everything - knows how to get there, so i don't need to worry about getting lost. :P (PS: i am the local who knows nothing. :P)

It was so windy that day, wind were blowing from all directions, it's so difficult to get a nice picture. I had tons of pictures with my hair all around my face, messy. And Wing kept taking pictures of us. Sigh, I totally forgot to bring my camera.

Tiny Quail Egg. (One of the traditional HK snacks, but it's very rare, you can barely find the wooderb cart that sells quail egg now.... )and this is not a DOG POOP, Winnie!
Since all the girls are all dressed up (kinda), not too ready for walking on the sands (look at Wing, she has her heels on. :P hehe, I got my sandals on, I'm so ready for BEACH, what I need is the SUN and BIKINI~)
Anyway, we decided to just sit down at the stairs and gossip... and of course we took PICTURES. That's what we do when we are bored.

Domon Sapporo Ramen
Friday night, I went out eat with Kio. CORRECT, eat out again. Sigh, what happen to my diet plan... =.= Summer is COMING.. and i want to buy new bikini... :D Anyway, Well, Crazy Kio was my former coworker in LK, she left the office to a new company (=hell) half year ago and we tried to have dinner every month. I haven't see her for almost 2 months, (She looked a lot different than the last time i saw her. more womanly.. lol which is a good thing.. hehe) We postponed our "dinner date" many times, and finally time is setted on Friday. (She was 99% close to going out with Isabel that night (another girl in LK), but I told her YOU PROMISED ME TO EAT WITH ME ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!! *~KILL~* then she went to tell Isabel she had a date with me... lol) (It's funny, last week I thought i was going to eat with her, but she texted me last minute and told me she was in CHINA. O_o, and the week before, I told her i will be out with my girls.... um, seems like it's very hard for us to make time for each other....sigh!)
Anyway, FINALLY we got to see each other. We went to have Japanese Ramen in Langham Place, MK.
I really have nothing to say about the restaurant, we were more into catching up and chat. This was my ramen. (umm. really not much special, just a regular ramen.)
I always have a thing with dumplings, those are yummy. the skin was thin, you can almost see the pork and onion thu the skin. (I guess it's very hard to make crappy dumpling, right? since dumpling is something very easy to make.) - umm, I so want to have some dumpling now. REALLY REALLY CRAVING FOR DUMPLINGS..... I wonder if I organized a dumpling night, will people come and attend my "party"? like making, cooking, and most importantly, EAT them. lol Sigh, I always want to do some cooking with BFF, like what I would do with my girl friends in US, but then, I don't have a kitchen and a place. SIGH, BIG SIGH.
After dinner, we went to have dessert - Cotton shaved ice. This is Mango and yogurt favor, it was okay. I guess we were focus on the chat rather than eating. :D half of the ice melted before i even noticed.
Anyway, it was a great night. It's great to see her and talk to her. (but crazy Kio need to be tame a bit, she spanked my ass in front of the mtr station, my left ass was in pain for at least 1 minutes. =.= and it's in the famous MK MTR station, I believed 100+ eyes were looking at me when she did it..*shy*) (now i kind of think, maybe crazy Kio is in love with me. lol .... jk )

Grills - (From left to right: Chicken Wings, some mushrooms, sausage number 1 and sausage number 2) ok the wings were tasty, (actually i think it's very hard to make crappy wings as well, wings are totally idiot-proof.) Mushrooms were okay, kind of bouncy. but those two grilled sausages thing, it's odd, weird, (Kio didn't even finish the whole thing :P) There's some cartilages kind of stuff in the sausage, it just feels super weird. =.,=
We chatted a lot, about all kind of things, and especially about the big thing happened on Friday night, right before we got off work, THREE girls got laid off on FRIDAY, they have to pack their thing and leave within an hour. HOLLY COW. Everyone in LK was a bit scared, coz this is a bit unexpected. (Someone was joking that those three girls are not cute enough, and they are getting old. lol) anyway, hopefully no one will laid off in this coming year. Mahjong night at David's flat
Mahjong night at Dav's house on Wednesday.
Mahjong, mahjong.....umm, I'm really bad at playing all kind of games, poker, big 2, Mahjong or video games. So usually if people want to play any of those, I'll just stand next n watch. But tonight was different, haha, coz i was playing with two and a half "gweilos"... um, I think I still have a chance to win right? (lol..)
Seriously, I think I only played mahjong once, and it was 15+ years ago. My sister won every single games and i was frustrated. So after that, I never really play mahjong.
Anyway.... one and only pic from the night..
Peking Duck Pizza from Pizza Express
um, I thought it was some new invention, but obviously it's not. I googled. There's bunch of threads flowing online about "Peking Duck Pizza". um, I'm so outdated. To me, Peking Duck Pizza tasted like Peking Duck on a piece of crusty bread. Umm, pizza is so western and Peking duck tastes so eastern. I felt really weird that the two mix together. It just not feeling right. Kinda odd to me. :P i still like normal pepperoni.
Anyway, we played more after dinner. It was fun. cuz we all (or just me.) don't really know what's going on, we don't even know we have to get one more from the back after we 槓。It's very funny...(we definitely need the book "mahjong for dummies") lol...
It was a great great night actually. (coz i had a whole cup of green tea ice-cream and a lot of maltesers in one night. XD Thanks Dav.)

定食Doraya
Wing and I went out on Thursday. I checked openrice all afternoon trying to look for a nice restaurant in TST to go to l, and finally decided to go to the Doraya japanese restaurant (TST). Heard they have some very nice raw tuna bowl.
Raw fish with rice, made me think of the Korean raw fish bibimbap (hae-do-bap) that I love. Joe always took me there (when we were still together.) With the Korean one, they put a lot of vegetables and apple along with salmon, tuna and other kind of raw fish in the rice and mixed them with hot sauce. (like how they do it with bibimbap). Oh, those are really mouth-watering. Maggie loves korean food. However, I have no idea where can I find a shop in HK that have this. :( sigh, I would definitely go back to US just for the Korean food. (why not Korea? Hehe, coz I can't speak Korean.) anyway, no more Korean talk. Let's talk about the Doraya.
Food was okay, this is my "藍鰭吞拿魚扒飯". The rice is a bit soft and sticky, I guess it's bez they used japanese rice? Not bez they put too much water? Anyway, the fish steak was nice, they slightly grilled the steak, and cut it into perfect size. Where I put one in my mouth, the steak was literally melted in my mouth. (wah....) I especially love the sause that goes with the steak, it makes the plain rice perfect. I am not a big fan of green onions, but those sause made green onion tasty. (I really duno why..)(price: HKD$98)
Wing's "鐵板藍鰭吞拿魚飯". Honestly I don't think Wing likes her set, she kept complaining the steak n other stuff, she didn't even finished all her fish. She thinks the fish shld be hot, but come on, it's raw fish bowl, if it's hot, then the fish will be fully cooked, n won't be raw. And her rice didn't have the special sause or green onion, so guess she didn't enjoy as much as i did.

LK Annual Dinner

Finally got some time to put up the pictures, damn, i was so busy this couple days, i don't even know why. :P Anyway, it was a fun day....
I was kind of nervous that day because obviously Mr. Boss think it's boring to just have dinner with the whole company. He came up with the idea that all us have to do a talent show, competing for $6800. I was kind of pissed at the other designers (shuu...) because apparently design department are the least talented and creative department out of others, we couldn't settle for anything until one day before the dinner, and what we came up was really lame. (Anyway, it's over. Hopefully next year, we won't have to do sth like this.. cross my fingers n toes.)

Administrative Dept - Eric, one of our two male staffs, made us a Scottish wine cocktails. (wait, i kind of forgot, is that Scottish? or Holland? or some other places... maybe British .. never know how it tastes, coz I was not the one who try them. :P )

Great job, they did great; great outfit, great choreography, great lighting, no wonder they won the $6,800.
Sales - Wing's Team (in case you can't see them well, Wing in purple legging trying to do the lion dance....lol) Good job Wing, it's hilarious!!
umm, in our HK office, the ratio between male n female employees are very uneven. We have 60+ girls, and 2 guys only... ||| (and most of our girls are young and pretty. what happen to our BOSS, why only hot babes? I want cute guys...!!! )

(so basically everyone will get at least $800. lol) I was texting/ MSNing non-stop after my performance, (My heart was bumping FAST) I didn't even know what's going on, till I heard someone was calling my name: MAGGIE LAM (What? me? What? Seriously?) I put down my iphone and went up stage.
